My name is Ashley Friedman and I am a 21 year old single mother. I have a two year old daughter named Jazmin and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Everything I do in life is to make her happy and proud of me. A fact that alot of people dont know about me is that I was adopted as a baby. Luckily I was blessed and put into an amazing family. I wasnt the easiest child or teenager but no matter what they have always been there for me. They support me in everything I do and help me out so much with my daughter. Sometimes when life gets too stressful I will catch myself saying “just give up” but then I remember that my parents never gave up on me and I need to stick to it and finish. Being a single mom, going to school and working is never easy but I know that I want to give my daughter the best life and in order to do that I need to set goals for myself and to work towards them. I never had this type of mind set until I found out that I was pregnant. School was the last thing on my mind but ive realized that school helps you with everything even if we dont realize it at that moment. Along with being a full time mom I work at a beach house in Santa Monica and at the Santa Monica Airport. My time is pretty occupied by school, work, and my daughter but I still make some time to hang out with my friends. My friends are my main support group. They have helped me through just about everything and I cant even believe to even think of a way I could repay them.
