Like most that start their journey through the books, I began mine with the films. Till this day I wish I read all the books when I was younger because my friends talk about how amazing the books are. Since my mother knew that I did not like to read much, I remember her coming home with a new DVD movie that displayed a castle along with four characters. As I kept looking at the cover I was reminded of The Pagemaster and thought it would be the same, yet, I was wrong. Once the movie ended I felt hooked and wanted to see more of Harry, Ron, and Hermion’s adventures. I dreamt to one day receive a letter from Hogwarts or imagined that one day my cat would transform into a person like Professor McGonagall. I thank JK Rowling for creating a world where individuals like myself can escape and get lost in a magic world of wizards and witches. One of the most exciting moments of my life was when I heard that they were creating Hogsmead in Universal Studios Hollywood. As soon as the piece of land was done I had a friend who told me that they were accepting applications for the main attraction called, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. I was hesitant to apply but ended up getting the job, and a couple days later found myself dressing up just like a student at Hogwarts. It felt so surreal to be able to not only dress up, but also walk through the castle when there were no guests. @Hufflepuffjax #hogwartsdh
